Rusty Satellite 61 – Soozie Eastman and Sarah Provancher

rs61SarahSoozieSummer’s over, but the Rusty Satellite Show continues on with two more of the most interesting people in the ‘Ville. Soozie Eastman grew up in Oldham County and went to U of L, but went west to make a name for herself in the film industry. Now she’s back and is running a cool new project, the Flyover Film Festival, that is now part of the Idea Festival, which starts later this month. Listen in to hear her interesting story and all about the big event for film fans. Sarah Provancher, a Louisville transplant, runs a public relations firm. She was married when she moved here, got divorced and decided to stick around, and I’m glad she did. Although her first run for public office (the Metro Council’s District 26) was unsuccessful, you can expect to see her on a ballot again.

My Labor Day weekend was a celebration of sorts, with plenty of golf, biking and U of L football. But ex-Rusty guest Jackie Green has a bone to pick with the successful public event — it interrupts the TARC schedule. Find out why, and hear about ex-Rusty guest Corky Miller’s fabulous send-off at Slugger Field. And one of my old friends from the South End is taking on Councilman Dan Johnson as a write-in candidate. It’s all here in a new episode of the Rusty Satellite Show.
