unnamedWith time to kill before their headlining appearance at the Cave City Improv festival,
the guys decide to stop by the old Gun Town Mountain amusement park where they run into Will Russell, owner of the Why Louisville? stores and one of the founders of The Lebowski Fest who fills in the the Improvisors on his plan to turn Gun Town Mountain into Fun Town Mountain.

  1. Will, please get in touch with me. I have an entrepreneurial guesting for you. You and I have mutual friends. I met you with one of them way back when. Thanks, and Happy New Year!

    • Hi Eric,
Feel free to contact me and share your story. I’m handling PR for Funtown and i’m probably your best link to Will if you have not been able to reach him. Look forward to hearing from you!

  2. I was a cast member at Guntown Mountain back in the summer of 1976. I had a great time and many wonderful experiences until the guy who hired us, fired most of us over something stupid that got blown out of proportion! When ever I think about or drive by the Cave City exit, I still have fond memories of Guntown Mountain!

    • Mr. Dawson,
I love hearing about your connection to Guntown Mountain and would love to learn more. I’m handling PR for the project and would like to get you and Will together. I hope to hear from you soon!

  3. Ilyse, my family and I visited Guntown Mountain on several occasions in the 1970’s and 80’s. During a visit in about 1982 (I was approximately 10 or 11 years old), we were enjoying one of the saloon shows when suddenly the girls called me onstage and performed, “I’m Just Wild About Harry” and planted heavily lipsticked kisses on both my blushing, overwhelmingly embarrassed cheeks. My parents made a picture of me with the can-can dancers. Does this mean I will play an important role in the new “Fun Town Mountain”? Perhaps a corner office in the corporate facility? Seriously, the very best to you guys in all you do!!! Chadwick

  4. We went there every summer as a child! Many, many fond memories. Can’t wait to take my son there this summer. When are you opening?

  5. My name is Brian Thorpe, I too worked at Guntown Mountain the summer of 1990 and my older brother worked there 2-3 summers as well. This was a great experience for us. I have a fondness for roadside attractions as well and like Will I have several collections of pop culture items. In the past few years I have gotten very interested in the haunted house industry and have actually been looking for the right location to have one of my own. I’d like to talk to you and your team about some possibilities that may add to your plans. I hope to hear from you soon.

  6. I worked there for about 14 years you need help I wuld love to work there again

  7. Live close to this Roadside Attraction I am very excited to see a transformation and improvements for this area. Supportive and excited!
