It’s another great week to Live, Work and Play in Jeffersontown, and this podcast provides all the news you need to know. Our first guest is Diana Merzweiler of the Down Syndrome of Louisville. Insider their wonderful building on Hurstbourne Parkway, the organization provides education and activity for hundreds of area young people with Down Syndrome. Hear all about the Down Syndrome fund-raiser at Audubon Country Club, with special guest Paul Rogers (the U of L play-by-play announcer) in our interview.
As president of the Louisville Urban League, Sadiqa Reynolds is busy making lives better by helping folks find jobs, transportation and child care, among other things. Reynolds is happy to be bringing a Job Fair to the Jtown Community Center on June 29. It will feature more than 50 employers and plenty of job candidates will attend. Listen in as Reynolds talks about plans for the event.
In our regular Ask the Mayor segment, Mayor Bill Dieruf discusses a major plan for the future that includes bike lanes and transportation out to the new Parklands. Check it out, and tell your friends, about the Jeffersontown Chamber podcast.
