EDT 45 – St. Paddy’s Week In Louisville

It’s St. Paddy’s Week on the Eat Drink Talk Podcast

You feeling the luck o’ the Irish this week? We are, given our special guests lined up for this week’s podcast: Michael Reidy of the Irish Rover, and Louisville’s adopted Irish son and chef, Finbar Kinsella. Both talk about how this famous holiday is celebrated in their homeland and how that’s been influenced by how Irish-Americans celebrate here. The chilly but well-attended St. Patrick’s Day parade got us thinking that all of us should work some Irish whiskey into our sipping regimen this week. (Green beer’s silly and flavorless anyway!) We certainly filled up at three amazing meals last week: an incredible beer-paired dinner at Red Barn Kitchen; a tasting of several dishes from Artesano’s new spring menu; and some hearty bites off the new brunch menu at Lola.

Since Rick’s on vacation this week, Steve filled in to do double duty in our weekly Favorites segment, citing the blueberry scones at Lola and the pimento cheese and horseradish grit cakes at Red Barn Kitchen as his favorite bites. Fave drinks were the Country Boy French saison beer, and the amazing 2017 10-Year Rye Release from Michter’s he’ll review soon.

Tune in and listen as he talks about it all on our 45th episode. And please tell your friends about EatDrinkTalk!
