Rusty Satellite 221 – Gill Holland and Pat MacDonald

I know, I know.  That whole University of Louisville shake-up has you all shook up. But let Rusty distract you with two of the most interesting people in the ‘Ville. Regular Rusty listeners know Gill Holland from his appearance in Show #11, and then again last year when he was running for Metro Council. Nowadays Gill is doing important work in Portland while celebrating the 15th anniversary of SonaBlast Records at the 9th annual NuLu Festival this weekend.

In a few weeks, you’ll want to check out the Aviation Heritage Festival at Bowman Field, an event whose creation and organization wouldn’t have happened without veteran pilot Pat MacDonald, whose story of growing up and living in the shadow of the airport is an interesting tale.

Yes, I do address the bubbling controversy at U of L, including the departure of Tom Jurich and Rick Pitino, and feel some sympathy for those of you taking the news hard. Things will get better, I promise.

Thanks for downloading the show, and tell your friends about Rusty.
